Church without walls

The Summer Nights programme has been brilliant this year with Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball, Paella on the beach and many other social gatherings being pulled together by lots of different people. It really led me to reflect upon what an open and accessible community St Peter's continues to be. The early concept of a Church (meaning the people), "without walls" really stands true.

At Volleyball, down at Yellowave (on the beach) we had many regulars from The Ten, The Six, Kids Team and Helping People teams, as well as people who had literally just come to St Peter's for the first time the previous Sunday, plus some friends from University who just fancied a game of volleyball! Similarly at the Paella night, as we gathered for 'sun down', lots of people used it as an opportunity to bring along a friend for a delicious helping of community, and a cold beer.

Brilliant!
