Momentum...
What a day, Archie, Paul, Hannah and myself went to Momentum yesterday to watch Archie deliver the sermon at the main service in the evening.
The place is amazing; seminars going on anywhere, students and twenty something’s learning about and praising God everywhere. We met up with the St Peter’s crew that were already there who just couldn’t give the event enough praise.
We made our way to the Big Top for the main event and were greeted by some 4000 people sitting in the round (again, Momentum taking tips from St Peter’s) just waiting in anticipation of the wonder that was to be Archie’s talk. Tim Hughes kicked off the proceedings with some worship and the Mike Pilavachi got the crowd good and ready. Archie then gave an amazing sermon from Mark 2:1-12, the healing of the paralytic man who was lowered down through the roof.
No amount of words will accurately describe the talk or how it was received throughout the Big Top but it was a pleasure to be sat there listening to Archie capture the hearts of the thousands who were there to hear Gods word. And there were some miraculous healings that followed as Mike invited the Holy Spirit into the venue and we prayed for the sick, it was incredibly encouraging to see some of the things going on including a wheelchair bound boy walking non stop around the venue.
What a place and what a night.
