For the first time in three years, the east aisle of St Peter’s is open for use. The scaffolding came down this week, revealing watertight, replastered – and safe – walls and ceiling. We’ve now moved the scaffolding to the other aisle, and the back. At this rate, the whole church should be opened up again by Easter (then to tackle the tower….)
